Problems in Kuala Lumpur

Although Kuala Lumpur is one of the major cities in Southeast Asia, it has several problems to be solved. There are 2 main problems in Kuala Lumpur; the first is the number of the vehicles. Cars is everywhere in Kuala Lumpur, just like Motorcycle in Indonesia. And obviously it causes traffic jam. If I drive a car during the rush hour, I just simply get stuck. The government had tried to decrease the traffic jam. In average, there will always be new road every month in KL. In the same time, the number of vehicle is also increase. So it’s just the same like before. Public transportation as the alternative is just quite good. The punctuality of the commuter train is sometimes very bad, a lot of technical problems, and of course a lot of commuter during the rush hour.

The second problem is the vacant area. It is hard to find the vacant area in KL, that’s why most of the government office moves to Putra Jaya and there are a lot apartment and condominium in KL because there isn’t any area to build a terrace house. And according to demand law, the price of an area in KL is very expensive.

Integrating ICT on those 2 problems might decrease the problem in Kuala Lumpur. For the first problem, beside the road expansion and routine maintenance for the Commuter train, CCTV and computerized traffic management system should be also established. And for the area problem, the area on the suburb should be used effectively and manage through a city management system where provides the whole information about the area on the city. So the used of the area will be effective.

Body Language

Body language is an unspoken communication. In a simple way, it involves hand gestures, facial expression, and also eye contact. Next, we’ll discuss about them in Indonesian case, because each country has their own way in giving meaning to a body language.

Same with others, Indonesian people also use their body language in communicate each others. The first one is hand gestures. Hand gestures are a form of body language that can be used to non-verbally communicate with others. If you are in a setting where hearing is difficult, hand gestures are one of the only ways to communicate with others. If you are speaking to someone who doesn’t understand your language and you don’t understand theirs, hand gestures and body language will be the only way to help convey your feeling. The most famou example of hand gestures is in thumbs case. Thumbs-up is a sign of positivity, a signal that everything is okay, while thumbs-down signals disapproval or rejection.

The second one is about facial expression. It would be easy for you to predict what exactly people feel at that time by looking to their face (such us lips, eyebrows ,ext ) . For example, when people sad, their eyebrows and their lips would be so un great to see , it’s contrast with the condition if they feel happy, their lips would be so nice, even their teeth, because they will smile widely and even show up their teeth .

Next, the last thing is about eye contact. Indonesian people usually do this when they want to express their feeling. For example, if they feel bored when they are listening to someone who is having a conversation with them, their eye contact can show it, people will know whether you’re bored or not by looking to your eyes. Some people also use eye contact to know whether it’s a true or not, because when people lie about something, their mouth can say a lie, but their eyes cannot. Therefore, some people usually use black glasses when they want to hide something from others.

In conclusion, defining a body language is not an easy way if you meet someone from other countries, because all the things that I’ve mentioned before would be a wrong article if western people read this, their way would be so different with Indonesian.

Body Language in Indonesia

Body language has an important role in communication. It is the way in which our body reflects our mood and so on. In Indonesia itself, there are many body languages that commonly used.

First, Indonesian people mostly use a handsake to greet or give a congratulation to other people. And after shaking hand, many Indonesians place their hands on their heart. Second, Many Indonesians usually put Mr, Miss, Mrs or Madam before start to call his/her name. A man is addressed as Bapak (sir or Mr) and a woman is addressed as Ibu. And to the most senior person, usually addressed as Kakak.

Third, Indonesian people usually using two hands or the right hand when they give or accept something, for eating , greeting and etc. And the last example is, Indonesian people usually do not allow other’s voice to get loud, whether in anger or joy, Because it means an impolite attitude and it could bother other people.

In conclusion, Body language has different meaning based on the countries and the cultures. So, if you want to go to one country, you should know first what kind of body language which commonly used there.

Problems in Bogor

Nowadays, Bogor is facing some crucial and complex problems. Those are transportation, cleanness, poverty, and also PKL (Trader who do their activities along the side street) .

The first problem, transportation, is the hardest task for government to solve. If you come to Bogor, you’ll find a lot of traffic jam, especially at busy hour. This problem not only caused by the citizens who bring their own car as their own “prestigious” transportation, but it also caused by public transportation which has a big number of amount. Imagine, there are more than 3.000 public transportation that called “angkot” in Bogor. Those 3.000 angkot compete each others to get passengers, they can wait for the passengers until a half hour, and made a long traffic, because they stop everywhere they want and wait for their passengers until the car full filled. What make the government feel hard in solving this problem is, how can they reduce the amount of public transportation if reducing way would make a lot of driver lose their job. Government have to think what compensation would be given to them.

The second problem, cleanness, is the most important problem that being talk by everyone in this city. If we compare the condition of this city at nowadays with its condition at ten years ago, you’ll not believe that it’s Bogor, it’s so different. Nowadays, the condition of this city is so dirty , many people don’t care anymore about the cleanness, it seems that they haven’t got any awareness of their environment, only a little bit of people who still aware with this problem, most of them can only talk without act.

Now, move to the third problem, poverty. Almost all cities facing this problem, but what make Bogor different from others is, those people who are poor, is already touched by the government , only a little bit of them who are still in untouchable condition.

The last problem,PKL. It’s hard to solve by the government because the government still can’t give compensation to them, if the government force them to close theirs without any compensation, it would be same as adding a number of poverty. Those are some problems that being homework for government and also the citizens in Bogor, hopefully those problems can be solved as soon as possible.

Body Language

Body language is the way to communicate with others without say any single words. It is kind of non-verbal communication which is consists of body posture, gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact. There are some differences of body language, different place has different body language, based on the culture.
Here are 3 examples of body language used in Indonesia:
1. Indonesian people usually raise their thumb up to express something good an down to express something bad.
2. Indonesian usually make an 'o' with their thumb and forefinger to agreeing something.
3. When Indonesian promises something, they usually make a 'v' with their forefinger and middle finger. But that 'v' can also means 'peace'.
Beside that 3 body languages, there are many others body languages used in Indonesia.

The Problems In Big City

My hometown, Bandung is a big city with some social problems. But in this opportunity i will explain just 3 biggest problems of many social problems in Bandung.
The first and the biggest Bandung's problem is population. Actually, Bandung has only capacity for 500.000 citizen, but nowadays Bandung's citizen is becoming out of capacity, 2,3 million people. That number is predicted to still grow and grow, and there is a prediction that in 2025 the citizen of Bandung will be about 10 million people. Can you imagine how dense Bandung will be?
The second is unemployment problem. With too many people in too small place, the job opportunity in Bandung is becoming very low. Job is very difficult to find, even for the scholar, especially for uneducated people. This problem increase the number of unemployed people in Bandung, and consequently, the beggar in street is becoming increas too.
The third problem is traffic jam. With a population that has exceeded capacity, of course Bandung is becoming more and more densely. And consequently, the streets in Bandung is always been full of traffic jams. Beside, Bandung as the city of fashion and capital city of west java was always visited by travelers from many others city, especially in weekend and holiday. The public transportation is also the cause of traffic jams, because almost all of angkot's drivers is driving carelessly.
So, the conclusion is the most important social problem in Bandung is population. And that problem is creating another problem in another aspect. I hope the government can fix this problem.

City of Traffic

"Wow! What a traffic!" is probably the words that will come at first, when we see the traffic condition in Bandung. As a part of big cities in Indonesia, especially for Province Capital City, Bandung has a serious traffic problem. For the past 2 years, the condition of traffic here had lead to three major causes, those problems are should be more concerned by the local government.

The first problem we could easily found is, Angkot, a means of transportation that in form of city car. Angkot, as another people mentioned as "City's biggest traffic problem maker" has playing a big role in making the traffic jam in the city, by attempting to pick up passengers at unofficial and unapropriate places. In some cases, angkot will instantly stop at first when they meet a passenger nearby. For such people who in hurry, this will be good so that they can quickly taken to the destination, but how about the others? Common result of this action is a jam. When people are in rush, imagine the effect when this is happend, people will try to slowing down and evade from the line. If you think that it happens only for particular Angkot, maybe you should think twice regarding the number of Angkot in Bandung, it is so enormous, and most of them are doing the same. While bigger number of angkot available is good to provide transportation, such behaviour would make it a big problem.

How about the road?

Now we come to the second important thing, the road. As we can see, people are likely to use their own vehicle rather than public transportation, and because of this, the road is full of cars everyday. While the number of cars is increasing every years, the development of the roadway doesn't has the same trend. The roads in Bandung today is as it was in the past 10 years. This is because the city was designed as a medium-cozy city, with medium road size. When i was in Bandung in 2005, the road was still fit and cars were easily moved. One of the big road called Cihampelas, where there are many clothing store and souvenirs shop, is still available for two directions.

But when i come back now in 2010, traffic jam is a common view everyday, and the Cihampelas road is now like a small street, even it is for one-way road. If i'm not mistaken, the last roadway development project is the Pasopati Flyover bridge. It was initiated since 2003 as part of inter-city Tol highway project, and finished in 2005. Perhaps it would be one of the solution to the traffic problems, but it seems not giving much help.

The next is, Traffic Lights. Traffic Lights are almost broken and need to be maintenanced. But, as long as i can see, they are not really being carried out a lot. Many broken traffic lights can be found along the main road such as Jl.PH H Mustofa, Jl.Surapati, Jl.Ir. Hj. Djuanda - Dago; Jl. Cipaganti - Dr. Setiabudhi; Jl. Jend. Ahmad Yani; and even Jl.Ibrahim Adjie which connecting Bandung and the sub-city, Kiaracondong. Most of the problems are dead lamps, wrong colors--because of broken electrical circuit inside, and one interesting incident is that there are two traffic lights controlling two opposite directions having the same green light at a time, and each directions are allowed to turn right; so that vehicle from the front direction could be crashed as the vehicles from the other direction wants to turn right.

All of those problems are still happend today, for some reasons, i think maybe the government want to be focus on tourism first, because Bandung is well-known as beautiful city and even called "Paris van Java" where we got everything in Bandung. But, if the city doesn't have a good traffic management, and the road is not supporting enough, soon or later we will find this city as crowd as Jakarta, which had an extremely serious traffic problem compared to nearby cities.
Government should take quick response to this, so we can still have Bandung as Paris Van Java, beautiful, emerging creative city forever.

The Important Social Problems

In my small town, Purworejo has a problem like other district. The most important social problem are waste, poverty, and street vendor. Generally, it caused by standard or quality of human resources are low. And they are less able to take advantage of opportunities. Those problems are interconnected.
Most of rural communities work in rice field. Commonly their education only finish until elementary school or junior high school. As we know, global warming make extreem weather. So, they can’t make prediction when they must start to cultivate their rice field. Because they need rainy season. Because of that, they are involved in detriment and try to look for another activity to care of their family. For example, they try to be a street vendor.
Street vendors were existing also have low awareness in sanitary beside they abuse should function as a place sidewalks for pedestrian. They just throw their waste any place. They didn’t think that waste also can give us profit. If street vendors have awareness to separated organic and anorganic waste then they can recycling it, they will get more profit. Commonly we called it waste recycling.
Waste problem can be solved by waste recycling. Especialy plasctic garbages which have potential as a raw material and it can be changed to other usefull things. Waste recycling can involve many people. It can help unemployment to get job and decrease the poverty. Unfortunately, absence of government policy to involve the public as consumers to participate in the waste recycling. Disposal of mixed waste, such as prevailing in Indonesia at this time may damage and reduce the value of the material that may still be used again. Change is necessary and is good change begins from ourselves because waste recycling cannot be separated from society’s lifestyle. Imagine if we all did this, certainly will cause a big impact. Therefore invite relatives and friends near you to actively participate in environmental protection.

The Problems in Big City

There are many problems in a big city. For example Bogor. the city is close to the capital of indonesia. that's why its almost has the same problem with jakarta.

First, Bogor biggest problem is the population. Bogor population’s continued to grow and population density increased significantly. Nowdays, many people from outside the city moved to Bogor to find a job and continue their study. consequently, the job oppurtunity become lower, especially for the uneducated people, so they become homeless and unemployee. in the end they become a burden to the local goverment.

Next problem is the traffic jam. Traffic jam in Bogor is chaotic. Bogor has a large number of public transportation and even known as the City of a Million public transportation. It also worsen by the careless drivers who do not obey the traffic regulation. They usually stop everywhere they pleased to find passanger. There is a daily traffic jam in Bogor from early in the morning to late in the afternoon. Moreover on the weekend and holiday, most people from Jakarta spent their holiday here.

And the last problem is about the crime that emerge from the unemployee people, poverty, depressed, and inbalance emotional that caused by the social depression. Many people become individualist, they don’t care about the others and selfish. Social different status is very large which is the have and not. Those who have not, feeling jealous and try to rob them. This is the effect of living in the big city.

To overcome this problems government should make some resolution. With the clear programs such as: administration, supervision, family planning programs, transmigration, improvement city planning and the proper traffic regulation.

Problems in Big City

Bekasi, as my dwelling place, also has some problems in city similar with the other big cities in Indonesia, even in the world. In general, there are traffic jam, criminality, and pollution. Traffic jam happens almost every time in this crowded city. It often caused by amount of transportations, especially a lot of public transportations, plus indiscipline of the public transportation’s driver made the traffic jam can’t be avoided. Because of that, the streets were so messy and other road users involved aggravating circumstances. Some of motorcycle users were forced to use the sidewalk to get their way because of a very long and dense traffic jam. It is so pathetic and of course the pedestrians feel worried with this situation. We, as road users too, don’t want it happens continuously and want this traffic jam minimized by government policy. But first we also have to be discipline and always obey the rule if we want a regular flow of traffic. Rules are made to be obeyed not to be violated, and this applies to all.

For the above mentioned problems, the thing that needs to be improved is the management of transportation systems. For example, need to be augmented traffic signs and the addition of a bridge crossing for pedestrians. But that facilities could be in vain if not followed by the local community. Therefore, also required the existence of socialization orderly traffic for the whole community, and add police officers in congestion-prone places.

Body Language

Body language is the process of communicating what you are feeling or thinking by the way you place and move your body rather than by words. And how to read others' thoughts by their gestures, expression and body posture. Understanding body language involves the interpretation of several signals from the eyes, mouth, arms and hands.

Our eyes are a very significant aspect of the non-verbal signals we send to others. To a lesser or greater extent we all 'read' people's eyes without knowing how or why, and this ability seems to be inborn. Eyes and especially our highly developed awareness of what we see in other people's eyes are incredible. For example we know if we have eye contact with someone at an almost unbelievable distance. Far too far away to be able to see the detail of a person's eyes about 30 metres away or more sometimes, we know when there is an eye contact. This is an absolutely awesome capability when you think about it. Also, we can see whether another person's eyes are focused on us or not, and we can detect easily the differences between a 'glazed over' blank stare, a piercing look, a moistening eye long before tears come, and an awkward or secret glance. We probably cannot describe these and many other eye signals, but we recognise them when we see them and we know what they mean.

The mouth also has more visible moving parts than other sensory organs, so there's a lot more potential for variety of signalling. For example, smiling is a big part of facial body language. As a general rule real smiles are symmetrical and produce creases around the eyes and mouth, whereas fake smiles, for whatever reason, tend to be mouth-only gestures. Hand clamped over mouth, an unconcious gesture of holding back, suppression or shock with something. And other example is when we laugh. Laughter is a sign of relaxation and feeling at ease. Natural laughter can extend to all the upper body or whole body. Forced laughter/unnatural laughter is often a signal of nervousness or stress, as an effort to dispel tension or change the atmosphere.

Arms are quite reliable indicators of mood and feeling, especially when interpreted with other body language. Crossed arms represent a protective or separating barrier. This can be due to various causes, ranging from severe animosity or concern to mild boredom or being too tired to be interested and attentive. Crossed arms is a commonly exhibited signal by subordinates feeling threatened by bosses and figures of authority. People also cross arms when they are feeling cold.

Hands is an extensive body language. This is because hands are such expressive parts of the body, and because hands interact with other parts of the body. They are extremely expressive and flexible tools, so it is natural for hands to be used a lot in signalling consciously as with emphasizing gestures or unconsciously as in a wide range of unintentional movements which show hidden feelings and thoughts. Tapping or drumming fingers which mean we're impatience with something. As the simple signal is 'thumbs up' means OK, approved and the Victory-sign . It's a very positive signal. Two hands is a bigger statement of the same meaning.

Importantly, understanding body language enables better self-awareness and self-control too. We understand more about other people's feelings and meanings, and we also understand more about these things in ourselves. When we understand body language we become better able to refine and improve what our body says about us, which generates a positive improvement in the way we feel, the way we perform, and what we achieve.

The Problems in Big City

Bandung is one of the big cities in Indonesia. And it has a lot of big cities' main problem.

The first problem is traffic jam. As a big city, Bandung has a fairly dense population. And because of that, the number of vehicles and transportations also very large. We can see that almost everyday, during the workdays, every roads in Bandung are always having traffic jam. Especially, in the weekends or holidays. A lot of people from other cities, event countries visiting Bandung at those occasions, because Bandung is one of the people's favorite place to spend their holidays. So, the number of vehicles will increase much more than in workdays.

Next problem is, there are a lot of perforated roads and streets in Bandung. This is very disturbing, and a bit dangerous, because it may cause traffic jam, even accident. And it seems like government of Bandung is taking no action to fix this problem, because a lot of road improvement projects are stopped before its done, even there are still a lot of damage roads and streets which abandoned.

Last but not least, traffic violations is another problem in Bandung. This thing is very annoying, and it is bothering people a lot. For example, when there is a traffic jam, some of motorbikes will ride their bikes on to sidewalk, it messed road up and it make the traffic jam getting worse. Another example, when people race their vehicle on the road. It's very noisy, and it may cause an accident.

Those three problems are still exist, and it's not easy to solve them today. But, i have a plan to solve those problems in the future, with ICT ways.
To solve traffic jam, we can make a cooperation with police department and transportation department, to make a program and software which can detect a vehicle that still necessary to ride. If the vehicle is no longer necessary to use, and the driver have no driving license, or other case, then it will reduce the numbers of vehicles on the road.
For the perforated roads, ICT can solve it, by sponsoring the improvement road projects, and help the government to control and monitoring the development of the project.
And the solution for traffic violations, we can cooperate with police department to put the camera which can record the violation and the person who do that thing. So that police can find the executant easier and faster, so that the traffic violation can reduce and the road will be not as messy as before.

problem in the big city

The Problems Of Big City

The Problems of Big City

The principal problems now facing big City are its overcrowding and
overpopulation, its dangerous environment, its dwindling water supply, and its
terrible air pollution. One of big City's problems is that it has an enormous population that
continues to rapidly increase every day. There are many people that move to
big City and many people that are born there every year. These factors
contribute even more to its overcrowding and overpopulation. Yet still another problem with big City's habitat is the overall instability that is caused by the fact that much of the
city is located on a weak, dry-lake bed surface.big City's rapidly diminishing water supply creates another dangerous problem.Once its water supply is gone, the only way to receive water will be to transport it from across the mountains. Not only does the city have to pipe
water in, but it also has to pipe the sewage out of waste-filled areas. This
would be a very expensive undertaking and could cost big City a large amount
of money.big City's worsening air pollution is the most dangerous problem
and health hazard presently facing the city. The air in the city is so polluted
that at times the air quality exceeds 100 times the acceptable level. Thousands
of factories and millions of vehicles are the main causes of the air pollution
in big City. big City has many problems at the present time, and it does
not look as if it is going to get much better in the future.

The Problems in Big City

I can sumarize three problems that’s facing by Bogor at this moment. The first problem is bums have sprung up in Bogor. Let me take an example for this, there are many bums around the traffic light in front of botani square, sometimes those bums distracted people who passed by in front of them. This situation may cause other people become restless. And from year to year, the number of bums in Bogor increase rapidly, because until now there’s not any government’s act yet to solve this problem.

The second problem is public car everywhere. As we know before, Bogor is well-known as a green city, because there is a Botanical Garden. For now, green city is refer to the public car which crammed the traffic. We can find those public cars easily in the whole street in Bogor. Too many number of public cars, often makes traffic jam. Even in the protocol street can happen such thing.

The last problem is there are too many perforated streets in Bogor. This problem may cause Bogor city resident become restless, because when it rains , it may cause a big flood. Because of that, the driver couldn’t differentiate between the perforated street and the good one

In short, there are also some solutions to solve this problems. Me as an ICT student, in reducing the number of bums, i have to make a new job vacancy for those homeless people. Next, to solve the number of public cars which increased rapidly from year to year, i have to make a cooperation with DLLAJ to decrease the illegal public car driver who didn’t have any license to drive. The last but not lease, to fix the perforated streets, i have to make a cooperation with the regional service of city planning to restore the function of street itself.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Semarang as the capital city of Central Java has some serious problems. Those problems are the bad waste’s management, the damage of main roads, and the worst is the number of illegal parking which then lead to congestion. The government has taken various ways to resolve those problems, but it never resolved.

The waste’s management in Semarang is really bad because the public cleaning service using trucks to transport the waste and garbage from every region in Semarang to the landfill. The trucks that used to transport those waste and garbage are not equipped with a tool to cover the waste and garbage from the wind and to maintain it inside the truck. So, when the truck is moving forward, not only the garbage flying to the street but also spreading a very bad smell. This is really dangerous for our health especially for the motorcycle’s riders because of the smell that contaminate the air contain much microorganism and can make them sick. The only effort from the government is setting the operational time for cleaning service’s truck to transport the garbage in the morning, so the road user won’t be disturbed because of the smell. But it doesn’t enough. The best solution is substituting the truck with a new truck which has a cover to maintain the garbage in the truck and also prevent the smell spreading to the air.

The second problem is the damaged of main roads. The main roads in Semarang are heavily damaged especially in lower area like Johar, Kota Lama, and Tawang station because in this area the flood often occurs. But we also can see the damaged of the road in higher area, such as Sigar Bencah, Ksatrian, and Sisingamangaraja. But it has different case. The roads in this area are damaged because there are many dokar which pulled by a horse passing this roads. The footstep of the horse can crush the asphalt and damaged the road. The damaged of the road caused many accidents for the motorcycle’s riders. The government must pay attention to this problem.

And the last is the number of illegal parking which then lead to congestion. It almost happens every day at Jalan Pandanaran because along this road, there are a lot of store which selling Semarang’s typical foods.

Buyers who want to buy in those stores usually park their vehicles on the curb because the stores doesn’t providing a parking lot for the visitors. As the result, many of them park their vehicle on the roadside even until on the middle of the road and causing a bad traffic jam. I think it will be better if government builds a parking lot for the people who want to go to the stores so there will be no more illegal parking, no more traffic jam, and everybody will feel more comfortable.

That’s all the problems in Semarang. Hopefully the mayor of Semarang can read this writing then change Semarang to be a better city.

The problems of big cities

There are so many problems the big cities in Indonesia, for example is Jakarta. traffic jam, flooding and urban slums are the main problems in Jakarta. traffic jam in Jakarta is the biggest problem. Every day, almost on every street corner, especially at rush hour, there is traffic jam there. Many people complain about traffic jams, but the government still does not do anything.
In my opinion, Jakarta does not have a comfortable, safe and fast public transportation, so people try to buy a car or a motorcycle, so that only increase the level of traffic jam in Jakarta. high population in Jakarta also caused traffic jams in the capital of Indonesia.

government may have to learn a lot from singapore who successfully handle the traffic jam. applying high taxes on vehicles may be a good first step, so users of private vehicles can be in controllable. But this should be followed by provides a convenient and fast public transportation by the government.

Good work. "Capital" letter at the beginning of a sentence please.

The Problems of Big City

Medan is one of the big cities in Indonesia. As a big city Medan has problems. Now days the big issues about problems in Medan are education system, traffic jam, and also housing for the citizen. The education system always be the first issue, it’s because in Medan there are still have no good policy to maintain education system, we still can find many children on the street begging for some help and try to be entertain the people on their vehicles, public transportation with their song, and etc without being forbidden with the older people, or law enforcement which allows them working like that because in Medan those older people usually ask for money from they work. So it’s the problem. They are still a child and have to study at school and they are not supposed to get that action from older people. Even though they choose to work but they may say that working is hard to do and it is not fun, because they always get pressure from the older gang on the street. Children who are working wants to go to school but the economy of their family makes them stay on street. Second issue is traffic jam, the traffic jam in Medan is not like in Jakarta with many cars and vehicles but in Medan most of the traffic jam is because undisciplined from the public transportation. The drivers of public transportation always stop in everywhere they want without aware with the sign which they allow to stop or not, it makes the drivers will have their own space in the side of street and make a line then waiting for the people. The line that public transportation make is not just one line but more than one, it can be three lines so it causes the traffic jam because of those public transportation which waiting for the people. Then housing of the citizen also causes the problem, because the citizen who doesn't have a house make their house in some areas that is not supposed to be life there, like in the river bank, street and etc. Then after they built they house, they have their business in their house of close to their house such as: selling soft drink and snacks, retail service for phone and etc. So it’s a problem because from what they do is they make the dirty environment and not health for the environment and another is it may cause traffic jam too because of the housing of citizen .

Those problem should get the attention and it can be helped by the technology. For the education system for the children who has been working on the street they should have mentoring from the institutional or from the volunteering program. In Medan there is a volunteering program which comes from Germany that for young generation who does not go to school or join the army they should go to development country for volunteering and give the education or skill that they have for the children WHO are not in school in several years. So this cooperation for volunteering will help with the education system for the children who are working on the street. Then for the technology how to solve the traffic jam problem and to make the drivers of public transportation more discipline is by make a sign that how long they can waiting for the passenger by using a timer in the side of street which the drivers always wait for the people. So with the timer they will know the time that they’ve been waiting and they have to go if they have been waiting too long so that it would be cost traffic jam because of too many public transportation, and they can maintain their time. And the last for the housing problem it should get solve by providing the special place that for they house and have their own business which can be helpful for them and also it will have their own income from it.

Very good job.

Problem of City

Last few years , Bandung city has been facing serious enviromental problems. It is indicated by the rise of a lot of issues concerning the bad quality of the city’s environtment such water, air, land and other physical environtments. Recently, the city is experiencing decrease in natural resource, such as water, and land, and as well as a polluted environtment to waste emission and solid waste generation. As it could be identified, many sectors of economical activity (such as industry, trading, transportation settlement), have a major contribution to the degradation of the life quality.
This problem arose due to waste generation in a very big volume and lack of proper treatment and management. It means that in the future, waste management must be taken into account when the eco-town initiative will be implemented.
In this context, establishing a recycled-oriented society is very important. It is believed that each waste producer in the city has done treatment, to some extent to their own waste product, but unfortunately there is no sufficient data regarding this activity was recorded.
Survey should be emphasized on identification of the need of, and the existing environmental technologies or system whish support the eco-town establishment, in particular the implementation of the zero emission concept and reduce, recycle, reuse principles. Later on, the database of such technologies and system is useful to build up an approriate and comprehensive system aimed at the creation of resource-usage-style society in Bandung city. Therefore, need survey that’s addressed to three elements of relevant stakeholder which play important role, at least expected, in the implementation of emission control reduce, recycle, reuse principles. The recycles have a significant role in the waste processing, though they work in more informal business sector.

Well done.

About Body Language

Body Language is a significant aspect of modern communications and relationships.

Body Language is relevant to management and leadership, and to all aspects of work and business where communications can be seen and physically observed among people.

Body language is also very relevant to relationships outside of work, for example in dating and mating, and in families and parenting.

Communication includes listening. In terms of observable body language, non-verbal (non-spoken) signals are being exchanged whether these signals are accompanied by spoken words or not.

Body language goes both ways:

1.Your own body language reveals your feelings and meanings to others.

Example :

· Body as Cue, Evidence, Persuasion: How I shape changes how I feel.

· Body language caveat: You can't control all of your muscles. So why bother?

· Emphasis with body language: Adding emphasis to what I’m saying.

· Social distances: The space between us.

· Touching: Using physical touch.

2.Other people's body language reveals their feelings and meanings to you.

Example :

· Greeting body language: Meeting rituals.

· Attentive body language: Showing real interest.

· Bored body language: Just not being interested.

· Defensive body language: Protecting self from attack.

The sending and receiving of body language signals happens on conscious and unconscious levels.

So, if you wish to communicate well, then it makes sense to understand how you can (and cannot) use your body to say what you mean.

Well done, thanks.
