The problems of big cities

There are so many problems the big cities in Indonesia, for example is Jakarta. traffic jam, flooding and urban slums are the main problems in Jakarta. traffic jam in Jakarta is the biggest problem. Every day, almost on every street corner, especially at rush hour, there is traffic jam there. Many people complain about traffic jams, but the government still does not do anything.
In my opinion, Jakarta does not have a comfortable, safe and fast public transportation, so people try to buy a car or a motorcycle, so that only increase the level of traffic jam in Jakarta. high population in Jakarta also caused traffic jams in the capital of Indonesia.

government may have to learn a lot from singapore who successfully handle the traffic jam. applying high taxes on vehicles may be a good first step, so users of private vehicles can be in controllable. But this should be followed by provides a convenient and fast public transportation by the government.

Good work. "Capital" letter at the beginning of a sentence please.

The Problems of Big City

Medan is one of the big cities in Indonesia. As a big city Medan has problems. Now days the big issues about problems in Medan are education system, traffic jam, and also housing for the citizen. The education system always be the first issue, it’s because in Medan there are still have no good policy to maintain education system, we still can find many children on the street begging for some help and try to be entertain the people on their vehicles, public transportation with their song, and etc without being forbidden with the older people, or law enforcement which allows them working like that because in Medan those older people usually ask for money from they work. So it’s the problem. They are still a child and have to study at school and they are not supposed to get that action from older people. Even though they choose to work but they may say that working is hard to do and it is not fun, because they always get pressure from the older gang on the street. Children who are working wants to go to school but the economy of their family makes them stay on street. Second issue is traffic jam, the traffic jam in Medan is not like in Jakarta with many cars and vehicles but in Medan most of the traffic jam is because undisciplined from the public transportation. The drivers of public transportation always stop in everywhere they want without aware with the sign which they allow to stop or not, it makes the drivers will have their own space in the side of street and make a line then waiting for the people. The line that public transportation make is not just one line but more than one, it can be three lines so it causes the traffic jam because of those public transportation which waiting for the people. Then housing of the citizen also causes the problem, because the citizen who doesn't have a house make their house in some areas that is not supposed to be life there, like in the river bank, street and etc. Then after they built they house, they have their business in their house of close to their house such as: selling soft drink and snacks, retail service for phone and etc. So it’s a problem because from what they do is they make the dirty environment and not health for the environment and another is it may cause traffic jam too because of the housing of citizen .

Those problem should get the attention and it can be helped by the technology. For the education system for the children who has been working on the street they should have mentoring from the institutional or from the volunteering program. In Medan there is a volunteering program which comes from Germany that for young generation who does not go to school or join the army they should go to development country for volunteering and give the education or skill that they have for the children WHO are not in school in several years. So this cooperation for volunteering will help with the education system for the children who are working on the street. Then for the technology how to solve the traffic jam problem and to make the drivers of public transportation more discipline is by make a sign that how long they can waiting for the passenger by using a timer in the side of street which the drivers always wait for the people. So with the timer they will know the time that they’ve been waiting and they have to go if they have been waiting too long so that it would be cost traffic jam because of too many public transportation, and they can maintain their time. And the last for the housing problem it should get solve by providing the special place that for they house and have their own business which can be helpful for them and also it will have their own income from it.

Very good job.

Problem of City

Last few years , Bandung city has been facing serious enviromental problems. It is indicated by the rise of a lot of issues concerning the bad quality of the city’s environtment such water, air, land and other physical environtments. Recently, the city is experiencing decrease in natural resource, such as water, and land, and as well as a polluted environtment to waste emission and solid waste generation. As it could be identified, many sectors of economical activity (such as industry, trading, transportation settlement), have a major contribution to the degradation of the life quality.
This problem arose due to waste generation in a very big volume and lack of proper treatment and management. It means that in the future, waste management must be taken into account when the eco-town initiative will be implemented.
In this context, establishing a recycled-oriented society is very important. It is believed that each waste producer in the city has done treatment, to some extent to their own waste product, but unfortunately there is no sufficient data regarding this activity was recorded.
Survey should be emphasized on identification of the need of, and the existing environmental technologies or system whish support the eco-town establishment, in particular the implementation of the zero emission concept and reduce, recycle, reuse principles. Later on, the database of such technologies and system is useful to build up an approriate and comprehensive system aimed at the creation of resource-usage-style society in Bandung city. Therefore, need survey that’s addressed to three elements of relevant stakeholder which play important role, at least expected, in the implementation of emission control reduce, recycle, reuse principles. The recycles have a significant role in the waste processing, though they work in more informal business sector.

Well done.

About Body Language

Body Language is a significant aspect of modern communications and relationships.

Body Language is relevant to management and leadership, and to all aspects of work and business where communications can be seen and physically observed among people.

Body language is also very relevant to relationships outside of work, for example in dating and mating, and in families and parenting.

Communication includes listening. In terms of observable body language, non-verbal (non-spoken) signals are being exchanged whether these signals are accompanied by spoken words or not.

Body language goes both ways:

1.Your own body language reveals your feelings and meanings to others.

Example :

· Body as Cue, Evidence, Persuasion: How I shape changes how I feel.

· Body language caveat: You can't control all of your muscles. So why bother?

· Emphasis with body language: Adding emphasis to what I’m saying.

· Social distances: The space between us.

· Touching: Using physical touch.

2.Other people's body language reveals their feelings and meanings to you.

Example :

· Greeting body language: Meeting rituals.

· Attentive body language: Showing real interest.

· Bored body language: Just not being interested.

· Defensive body language: Protecting self from attack.

The sending and receiving of body language signals happens on conscious and unconscious levels.

So, if you wish to communicate well, then it makes sense to understand how you can (and cannot) use your body to say what you mean.

Well done, thanks.

Problem of City

Semarang is the capital of Central Java. It isn’t a big city actually. If you want to compare with Bandung, Semarang still left behind off course. As another city in this country, Semarang has many problems although the Major gave sweet pledge to fix the city, but in the fact it isn’t an easy way to fix the city. There are a lot of problems that faced for 5 years. For example, flood, traffic-jam, air pollution, and etc. in my opinion, there are many ways to solve each problem.
First, is for flood. Actually Semarang has a dam in front of Tawang Station. It was made for prevent the flood. But now, it is become useless. It isn’t clean because of the rubbish that covers the filter of the dam. Furthermore, the government must make a new dam in other land to prevent the flood spread in anywhere.
Second, to prevent the traffic jam, the government must press the number of citizen’s vehicle and the public transportation. Besides, the police must be more assertive to the road users and tighten the road sign.
Third, to solve the air pollution problem, like the second solution, the government must press the number of vehicles and also make a regulation for every month there will be a voluntary work to clean the environment and in every year it will be a day to planting trees to decrease the pollution.
Actually, there are some ways to solve the city’s problem. But, for us it is not easy to realize.

Good.

The Problems Of Cities

In society life, there many kind of problems come up, those are education problems, poorness problems, culture problems, and social problems. Mainly for the social problems, it gives many problem and make bad effects to the people, example :

Crime, robbery, kidnapping, motorcycle gangs and there many more. in my experienced to all of them in my hometown Parepare, motorcycle gang become a big social problem, becuase every Saturday night motorcycle gangs in Parepare make racing competition and the badly, They used public main road as circuit racing and it makes the people feel upset and disturbed of course. Basicly motorcyle gang there is no good of it, it makes all sides disadvantaged, side of education and side of public convenience.

· Effect to education.

Right now, we can see there are many students have a bad moral and do what they should not to do, one of the factors is motorcycle gang.

Motorcycle gang bring worse effect to education because motorcycle gang influence the students to do something such as race, truant from the school, smoking, student brawl and many more crimes, and it also change the mainset of students and the personality of students to become uneducated personality and anarchic. In fact, to influence them, it is step by step and pass through by two way,

Those are Internal way and external way :

Ø Internal ways :

The first, when the student in process to knows him self or we can say, Identity crisis. It is process where the students do not know his identity or hesitate which personality he wants to be. it is perfect time to influence all of that.

The second, when the student does not know to learn and analyze between acceptable attitude and unacceptable attitude, and also can not learn and analyze between good attitude and bad attitude, vice versa with students already known but can not develop his controlling himself.

Ø External ways :

The First, Family.

there are many students have family problem such as divorcement of parents, no connection each other in family, no religion teaching and conflict in family, problems like this will lead them to the bad or negative attitude.

The Second, Bad environment.

Living or grown up in the bad environment directly will change mainset to negative attitude, because environment one of factors to build personality to someone after family.

· Public Convenience

Many people feel upset and disturbed right now, it is because of the motorcycle gang, they do not only use the public main road as a racing circuit but also motorcycle gang always break the public facilities for examples ; road sign, general lighting, and also make graffiti art in all of road side even in the people’s home and in the government office, all of that make the people feel upset and disturbed, and it also makes the city become dirty and uncomfortable to look.

To solve all of them and fix the bad moral of youth generation we need awareness / participation from every parts, people, police, government and especially from the family. government should make social program like motivation program in unusual way. the social program must have an attraction and more colors, in order that, it is not monoton, because if it is just like usual society program before, just gives a speech and sharing, it will be really boring and there is no students want to join it, so to make it attractive, the program should based on ICT in order that the topic more widely not only in our country but we also can take from the other country and then, police department also should set CCTV in every spot of crowded place and crowded road in order that the crime of motorcycle gang can be known faster and fast evacuation for the victim.

In the rod side there should be Big TV and a computer in every public plac, it is free of course, in order that, the people can know more information and access more information for examples ; safety riding, road sign, hotel, restaurant, resort and many more.

Very good.

Body Language

Body Language
Body language is the way to extend a message about what we think or feel to other people without verbal communication but use the body movement instead. There are many kinds of body language, such as eye contact, facial expression, and hand movement.
1. Eye Contact
Eye contact is one kind of body language that is used by someone to show what he thinks and
feels about something, which is emitted by his gaze.
From eye contact, you can expect the condition of one person. Whether when you talk to
someone, he gives you an attention or not. Whether he gets bored to have a conversation with
you or not. And probably you will find whether they lie to you or not. Look, why do i say
probably for the last condition ? Why don't i say surely ? Because, for some people, they are
smart to hide what they are thinking / feeling. They can fake their eye contact in order to
make other people wouldn't realize their plan or their real aim. That characteristic usually
belongs to a good liar.
On the other hand, there are some people who are kind of timid person. They usually don't
want to have eye contact with the person whom they talk. It's not because they have a
certain aim which they don't want anyone knows it, but they just feel shame or unconfident.
That's different with a liars who don't want to have eye contact or fake their eye contact
because of some reasons that they don't like anyone knows about it.
2. Facial Expression
Facial expression can be explained as the interrelatedness between some parts of people's
face, such as lips, eyebrows, and eyes) which from their combination can show about what
people feel. There are some expressions that can be shown by facial expression like angry,
sad, and happy.
When a person gets angry, his eyebrows will fit together, his eyes become narrow and there is
no smile on his lips. When someone feels sad, his eyes will be gloomy, like there's no light, his
lips will turn down and we can also expect that he has no spirit at all. Different from the
others, happy expression will be very nice to see. The person that has a good day, his smile
becomes wide and shows his teeth. His eyes will shine brightly and his eyelids open
widely. Also you can see that the eyebrows are in the normal position.
3. Hand Movement
Just like eye contact and facial expression, hand movement also can be explained as one kind
of body language that shows about people's thinking towards their environment. For example,
a woman who is nervous when she has a conversation with a guy whom she likes, she usually
makes herself busy by tidy her hair up with her fingers. When people are thinking something
deeply, they usually touch their chin and stroke it. When someone gets angry, they will shake
their fists or maybe they hit their fist to the wall.
Well, those are about body language. The most important that we have to know is be careful to show your body language. Because your body language will affect other people's thinking about you. So, if you don't want people get missunderstand about you, all you have to do is just be calm down in every condition of your life. Regain composure and show your best body language.

Body Language

It’s so strange if your baby can say “Momma! I wanna eat!” He just uses his body to show what he feels or what he wants to say. What a unique way isn’t it? It’s not easy to understand what he means. We rarely get mad “Ah! You’re so bothering me!” and let him cry loud when we have to care of him. Now I’ll give you some examples of body languages which the baby usually uses to express his feeling. First, baby usually rubs his eyes if he wants to play with you. He tries to make us excited with him and start to play. But, it can also mean that he is tired and want to go to sleep. Second he is kicking his legs when he is excited with something or when he feels it’s too tight. Third, when the baby gets angry or his body is uncomfortable, then he will bend the body. Usually, it needs more time to make him calm, because he really feels uncomfortable or sick. Those are some examples of baby's body language.

Good.

The Problems of the Cities

Bekasi, a city that famous with its dumb centre, Bantargerbang, that is where I grew up. I have spend more than 10 years living in this neighbourhood and watch clearly how this city transform every year. Like any other city in this country, Bekasi faced the same problem as well. Criminal, traffic, housing area and even flood. As a student from the Faculty of Management ICT Business, I would like to suggest some solution towards this problem.

Firstly, for criminal problem we can make a cooperation with the police and the software provider company to place CCTV in some crowded and risky area to control the number of criminal problem. Besides, it will help the police to catch the criminal. This method is also could be use to controling the traffic to be more efficient to contol the traffic jam from the CCTV.

Next, the solution for housing area and flood problem is related to each other. If we have a very good housing area construction, we might not have to faced the flood every year. We could create and manage the housing area by make a cooperation with the property and housing company. With increases population every year, we should build an apartment or a tenement rather than a one-story house.

Good.

Body Language

If someone want to travel to a foreign country, they should have known the characteristic of the country itself. Body language is one of the characteristic that show the identity of the country. There must be some differences of body language for every country. It influenced from their politeness and their culture.

the characteristic of Indonesian body language came from their tenderness. Here are 3 example of body language that used by Indonesian people based from their tenderness. The first one is beckon with whole hand waving. This means “come here” and it’s considered polite in Indonesia. In some country they used index finger to expressed it. In Indonesia it means “come here” when someone is angry. The second is hand shake. A hand shake is usually used by people when they meet each other. Unlike the other countries, Indonesian people use handshake although it was the second time they met. The last is lower voice. Indonesian doesn’t like people that talk too loud. They used louder voice when they are angry.

body language

Body Language
I want to give you three example of body language

1.Showing one's palms

Showing one's palms to the listeners may mean openness and honesty; hiding the palms may mean deceit. Moving the hands close to the mouth or touching the nose may also indicate deceit. It is assumed this is because in the early evolution of human kind showing open palms showed that one had no hidden weapons or purposes. In kids it can easily be seen that they hide their hands behind thier backs or put their hands in their pockets when they are lying, a more advanced version in adults is simple not showing open palms. Open palms with raised shoulders exagerate the expression, further showing "I have nothing to hide".

2.pointing with their leg or knee.

People often indicate interest by pointing with their leg or knee. Pointing at another person means interest or acceptance of said person. Pointing your body away from the one you talk to means you would rather not be talking to the person and would rather move in the direction you are pointing.

3.Silence

Silence itself can often be a form of paralanguage. It has a variety of interpretations, usually dependent on the individual. One interpretation, comprising of silence and looking at the floor or avoiding direct eye contact, often shows that a person is thinking about a problem that emotionally affects them. In Western culture, not looking into an individual's eyes often indicates deceit. Specifically, it indicates a desire to be elsewhere, motivated by the discomfort or anxiety that that may accompany dishonesty.

Body language

Body Language
Body languange or non-verbal communication is how to convey something (our mind) to other people which uses manners, facial expression, and kinetic of the speaker. In the fact, 80% human communications do with non-verbal communication.
There are 3 kinds of body language which common used among the people.
1. Eye contact
Eyes can talks more honest than lips. Because from eyes we can know that someone is hiding something or has fault.
From many results, it result that 50-60% someone have eye contact when he/she has any conversation. For speaker used 40% eye contact and 70% for listener.
In Indonesia it is honest if someone doesn’t see who speak with him but it’s depending on the situation.
2. Facial expression
With this facial expression someone can presume someone else is straightforward, cruel, kind, friendly, introvert or hypocritical.
Plain expression of someone is indicate that he/she is an introvert person.
If someone always smiling to the other maybe he/she is cheerful or it can be he/she is insane.
3. Gesture
Gesture is non-verbal communication in hand movement, shoulder, foot, head, and fingers. We often use it aware or not to clarify what we said

The Problems of the Cities

There are many problems in Indonesia. For example are culture problems, social problems, until economic problems. Those problems are caused by many reasons. And those problems give many effects to our country.

One of the problems is social problem. Uncontrolled growth causes that problem. It gives big effect to the human life. It makes many people hard to get job. It causes traffic jam. It makes garbage problem and it increases pollution. And of course it increases criminality.

Increasing criminality is caused by difference lifestyle between people in the same area. When there are many unemployment life between rich people, this situation will makes unemployment people feel jealous and it can make criminality happen.

There is the other reason of increasing criminality for teenagers. That reason is less affection from their family. That poor teenagers want to exist and seeking attention from the public or their group. This situation happen in Bandung. There are some motorcycle gangs do anarchy action. And it can include in social problem.

As a student of mbti international, I only can hope to the government to solve this problem. It will be very dangerous if we go out at middle of night and we meet motorcycle gang. Maybe government can increase salary for police. Then police increase their patrol every night keep the city save and peace. I do not have much money and much power to make a CCTV company that work together with policeman for keeping the city save and peace in the night. I don not have network in Police moreover Government to start my business. Because of that I only can hope.

Body Language

Body language is a movement that usually use by human if they cannot express something with just word. Usually body language is done unconsciously and sometime it can hurt someone feeling without even realizing it. So, if you want to talk to someone you have to consider the person whom you are talking to. Now, I will give you some example of body language that was use by human.
1. Finger picking
There are many reasons why people pick their finger and I will tell you 3 reasons why people pick their finger. First, they want to call someone without using their voice. Second, they make their self comfortable when they are having trouble remembering something. And the last is that they want in accordance with the rhythm of the music they sing.
2. Slapping their own head
Usually someone slapping their head because of something bad happen. For example, if someone is forgetting something they will slap their head and say”OH MY GOD I FORGET TO BRING MY…..” or maybe they feel dissatisfied with something they are cheering for. For example, if someone watch football match and the team that he was cheering for got a golden chance for a goal and they fail it the person who support the team will say ”ooooh, how could they miss that chance” with slap on the head
3. Winking
Sometime people winking one of their eyes to signal someone for something that is a secret. For example, if someone wants to tell his partner that this was the right time for the finishing move he will wink his eye so his friend will react with a finishing move.

Good, thanks.

Body Language

Body language is movement of our body that has meaning. It is a process of exchanging thoughts and ideas that can be performed by movement of body. We use body language to make easier to understand our conversation. Some of them help us to explain difficult word to say. There are many kinds of body language, but in this text I will explain body language especially for smile.

First, genuinely smile. It is real smile. It happen when we feel happy, our mouth open and our teeth rise. Our eyes become narrow because both of our cheeks inflate up. For example we are smiling when introducing our self to new beautiful friend.

Second, sheepish smile. Sheepish smile happen when we feel shy because of something. Sometime we smile to cover our false. We can smile without feel happy to do this smile. For example when we drop our drink in the party, we smile and say “I am sorry”.

Third, Fiendish smile. Fiendish smile is a smile from evil person to express his happiness. We often see this smile in the movies, when antagonist character success to do his evil plan, he smile with fiendish smile.

Body Language

Body language is a vital part of the whole communication process. It can determine either a positive or negative reaction from the one you are talking to.

Examples on body language may come from any part of the body: eyes and eyebrows, lips, arms, and any other part that the receiver of the message sees.

It is important to be aware of the different body actions that you do while conversing (or even when not speaking) to avoid unnecessary and even unpleasant reactions. Here are some examples on body language and the ways your body parts can manifest themselves.

Eyes And Eyebrows

The eyes are said to be the windows to our soul. Though it may sound too cryptic and deep, it holds a bit of truth that the person you are talking to may see some of the thoughts that you are holding back, or perhaps even misinterpret your eye's actions from what you would like him or her to understand.

Even the position and movement of your eyebrows are some of the most noticed elements when you communicate with a person face-to-face.

A classic example on body language that conveys an apprehensive or burdened mood is when you have your eyebrows converging in the middle, as with frowning. Even if you talk softly and slowly, the person whom you are interacting with may think that you are almost at your temper's threshold.

Lips

Another body part that is usually interpreted for the probable mood of a person is the mouth.

Though we have different shapes and positions for our lips, particularly as to how they form, there are some universal notions regarding how we would most probably feel while in a conversation.

Here are some examples on body language of the lips.

A retracted lower lip that is almost bit by the upper teeth is usually a sign that the person is holding back and waiting for affirmation or action from the other person.

On the other hand, a retracted upper lip that's bit by the lower teeth usually signifies a person who's holding back and keeping mixed reactions, as with a reaction to the message being conveyed by the other.

Such small movements of the lips have significant implications to the person seeing them and may serve as a basis to either continue or halt the communication process.

Extremities

The arms and legs are considered responsible for a larger concept of body language, as these are more profound and have a heavier impact.

Crossing the arms over the chest usually signifies doubt, mistrust, impatience, or closed-mindedness. Coupled with the body resting on one leg and having the other stepped away and angled, the whole idea of this unwelcoming look is heightened.

Examples on body language may be corrected with appropriate gestures by practicing and internalizing how you would probably feel if you were the one seeing those actions you are doing. Actions often speak louder than words, so it's best to always be conscious of your gestures and movements.

Well done, thanks.

BODY LANGUAGE

Body language is a body movement that represent human’s feel and as a media language to show our expression without saying something. There a lot of body language that used by Indonesian. But in common they like to send their body language with eye contact, facial expressions and hand movement. There are several examples from each body language:

1. Eye contact
When someone talk to you, you can see he tell the truth or not by his eye contact. But some people assume that eye contact can measure how much they pay attention to someone who is talking to them. In other way, eye contact shows someone’s feelings to each other. So, we may conclude that eye contact has a lot of meaning.
2. Facial Expressions
We can express sadness, happiness, angry, and etcetera easily by our facial expressions. When someone feels happy, he likes to smile. When someone feels sad or angry, he likes to be sullen. So, with facial expression we can guess what someone’s feeling easily.
3. Hand movement
You can raise your thumb up when you agree with someone or you feel satisfied with something. Or you can put forefinger on your lips when you want someone to be quiet. In other way, you can wave your hand when you refusing something or show disagreement. So, with hand movement we know someone’s feeling.

So, from the examples above, we may conclude that body language can determine a lot of meaning although it through a simple movement.

Very good, thanks.

Body language

body language is non verbal communication which our entire interpreting or explain something with or without speaking, in commonly word called expression. based on brogs research, communication in human consist of 93 percent of body language and paralinguistik signal, and only 7 percent for the communication use words and it is depend on emosional and mental someone’s. body language also to give a clue about someone’s attitude, condition of someones mind, show about aggression, attention, boring and the other signal.

In indonesia there are fourth kinds body language commonly used, they are:

The first, Hand movement :

- when someone folds his fore finger, middle finger, and the ring finger and then he make it stright his thumb and his pinkie finger, it means that call me or make a call later.

- if someone wants to walk in the middle of crowded of old man or people he respects, he ussually slouch and make his hand in the position forward below but not touch the ground, it means that he wants to pass through.

- When someone folds his fore finger, middle finger, ring finger and pinkie, only the tumb go staright, it means that he feels good or think that it is good.

- When someone makes it straight his hand and his hand aim to a palce it means that he wants you to go out or get out but, sometimes when we ask a place or way to someone and he aims his hand like that it also means that, he shows the way or where the place is.

The second, head movement :

- When someone moves his head or his viewing into left and right repeatedly, it means that he say no or disagree about something.

- When someone moves his head or his viewing into up and down repeatedly it means that he understands about something but, if he just moved his head into down once time it means that come to me.

The third, emotional expression :

- when someone supple with a long breathe, mouth closing aim to down, eyebrows aim down, eyes a little bit small and lazy to everything, it means that he is unhappy or sad.

- when someone makes a wide smile or mouth aim down, tooth appear or not and eyes getting close and long shape, it means that he is happy, energic to everything and friendly.

The fourth, eyes movement :

- When someone close one of his eyes rapidly to the woman or man, it means that he/she is interested to him/her.

So we can realize that to cummnicate to someone we can not only by words, but also by signal or moving our body. Long time ago, our grand grand father in the primitif rage, when people have not known how to communicate by words, they communicated to each other by moving their body like jumping, writing and shouting. they were not like us, to write or explain about something in writing, they did not use aphabet words but they drew human body expression.

Body Language

To communicate with each other, people use not only verbal, but also non verbal communication. One of the non verbal communication is body language, which is use to expressed something they want to say. People around the world often use body languages to say something(both explicitly or implicitly), and also to affirm something they mean.
Because of that, we can see a lot of various body languages in every nations in the world. And these are several body languages that commonly used in Indonesia.

First, smile. We all know that friendliness is a characteristic of Indonesia. And, the smile of Indonesian can means many thing. It can be happy, welcoming someone, convey an apologies or forgiveness, show an understanding, respect, or forgiving, and many things. So, if an Indonesian smile at you, maybe you will a little bit confuse with what they means. But, you can understand what they mean with pay attention at their words and voice tone.
Secondly, to show someone a certain direction, Indonesian usually point their thumb (mostly, the thumb on the right hand), to the direction they mean. They use this, because this body language represent a polite way to point someone at a specific direction.
The last one, Indonesia have a lot of public transportation. And, if Indonesian want to take one of them, they will stop the vehicle by standing on the sidewalk, and pointing their forefinger at the street when the vehicle which they want to take is coming closer.

Well done.

Body Language

Body language could be defined as a form of non-verbal communication. This language could be interpreted differently from one to the other countries due to the culture different. The two common forms of universal body language are gesture and facial expressions.

There are 3 example of body language which is commonly used in Indonesia. Firstly is the smile. Smile is very common among Indonesian people. Indonesian always smiles, even to the stranger. Generally, smile is showing friendliness. But sometimes, the smile could be a fiendish smile when someone is very bored during the conversation with a friendly person. They just nod and smile in fact they might trying to say, “Please Stop.” The second common body language is the hand movements. Some politicians including The President of Republic of Indonesia always move his hand during his speech. This artificial hand movement used to hold the attention of the audiences. And the last one is the eye contact. Friendly Indonesian always maintaining their eye contact during a conversation. An exception for the shy person, they can’t maintaining the eye contact; which isn’t mean they are showing their bored.

Very good, thanks.

Body Language

Body language and facial expressions convey many messages to others. In fact, both are often be able to convey the real message in communicating, compared with just more than words. There are many ways of interpreting body languages. If we come from different countries, the meaning of body language is different too, because of cultural differences. Body language consists of eye contact, gestures, hand movements, and facial expressions. There are three examples of body language commonly used in Indonesia.

First, eye contact. The eyes are one of the most revealing instruments of body language. Sometimes we get clues about a person’s heart and mind through the eyes. When eye contact happens directly, then it’s a positive signal, because it means the person pay attention to your greeting. But if there is a little eye contact or even no, it is a negative indication, that means, he/she could be not interested, lying, hiding something, or feel uncomfortable. And then the second is facial expression, one of the most important facial expressions is the mouth / lips. If the tip of their lips toward the top (like a smile) , then this is positive signal, while if the tip is pressed her lips to the bottom, then this is a negative signal. And the last, hand movement, if your thumb and forefinger pinch the chin, indicating that we are interested with the conversation. So, if I collaborate them into one sentence, it will be ‘he/she is very interested with this conversation because his/her eyes contact with me directly, the tip of their lips toward the top, and his/her thumb and forefinger pinch the chin’.

Very good work. Thanks

Body Language

Body language is one of the ways for people to communicate. Sometimes people who have a conversation using body language to be understand each other or showing their feeling. Using body language is an important when we communicate each other. It constitutes 50 % what we are communicating. In Indonesia, Indonesian people does many of the body language. These are 3 commons of body language in Indonesia.

Hand Shake

A hand shake is usually used by people when they meet each other and also for younger people to older people. For a hand shake which is used by people when they meet it means that they care and wants to know how their partner doing by asking “How are you?” . Then for a hand shake which is used by younger people to older people it means showing a respect each other. So a hand shake in Indonesia is meaningful for most of Indonesian and it’s one of of the traditions in Indonesia.

Smile

Smile is most indicated about friendly and happiness. There are two kinds of smile. First is smile with showing the teeth and second smile without showing the teeth. When people smile with showing their teeth, it means that they are happy or having a pleasure. Then when people smile without showing their teeth just smile with putting the lips together it means that they want to be friendly to another people. In Indonesia when people see each other on the street or public place and just passed usually they smile to each other means that they want to be friendly and give a sign that “I know you or I see you” even they are not saying it.

Eye Contact

The eye contact is most indicated about honest or dishonest. When people talking then see on their partner eyes means that they trust and honest to the person who is talking and also can be as a feeling interested in the conversation. But sometimes when people talking and the partner doesn’t look back on their partner eyes it may indicates that people doesn’t feel comfortable or don’t really trust the partner. Another thing it’s can be the shy person.

That's all my opinion about body language which common used in Indonesia.

Good work. Thanks.
